I just had my 2nd cold sore ever on my lower lip. The first time I had one no one could tell but me because it hurt. The 2nd time (4 years later) it was EXTREMELY painful and really bad which probably had something to do with me breaking open the blister with my tooth brush, as I had no idea it was there. This lasted for two weeks, went through the entire process. It finally was over but now (after a week) I see my lip turning red on and off for the last few days. I'm terrified it's coming right back....is this possible???!!!!

Yes, it is possible. The frecuency of outbreaks depends on your immune system. The lower your immune system, the oftener your outbreaks. Also stress, alchohol, chronic diseases, excessive sun bath, hypothermia (when the body gets cold) or hyperthermia (overheating of the body), even periods can trigger an outbreak. So, try to avaiod stressful situations, pay more attantion to your lifestyle and you will reduce your outbreaks.
