Did they test you for HSV-1? Oral sex can cause that. Also the tests are not always reliable. Check out this article: http://consults.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/27/getting-tested-for-herpes/.

yes.  tested for HSV-2 and HSV-1 about 4 months apart.

and both came back negative.  used two different testing companies.
