If you have been tested since he has accused you and never had an outbreak then if he does have it then he didn't get it from you. UNLESS, you get coldsores and have given him oral sex with or without having a coldsore. HSV 1 and 2 can seem dormant and still be contagious. That's why it's such a tricky thing to have. Tell him to get checked. Don't do anything unprotected with him until you both know...and if he got it from someone else and you're clean, get away while you still can.
I really have a problem with the first answer you had, you might say I take it personally.
I was infected by being lied to openly by a guy, now I've been rejected several times in 20 yrs by men who "cared about me"? Life isn't fair for anyone. I say if you really care about the person, no comment by you on that, and he cares for you work something out, at least until you can decide where the relationship is. Someone gave it to someone? Be calm, get yourself a blood test, get smart about the condition and take it from there. Remember, everything takes two! What would you do if you were in his shoes?
I was infected at age 28 and have lived a life of hell since, not because of out breaks-as far as I can tell I have had none since the initial and my husband (now divorced due to age diff-25 yrs) of 4 years never contracted herpes, I had a natual birth, no issue with infant!
Don't run, deal, he's human too and I doubt he asked for this crap either.
