My girlfriend recently told me she was diagnosed with HPV. Being extreamly uneducated about HPV it really scares me. She told me that when she was 18-19 that she had a test done that she could have posisble had it bad then, however it came up negative. She is currently about to turn 26. My question is why all of a sudden is HPV becoming a problem, can symtoms come up serveral years or it possible its from an aditional sex partner?

This is a herpes (HSV) site, so you may not find much on here about HPV, a totally different virus. Try another search about HPV OR make an appt. with her at her GYN clinic for a consult...you do have valid concerns and questions that need to be answered. Her dr. will speak with you as long as you are with her. But...any planned pregnancy clinic will advise you as well ....with or without your gf.
