I have these painful open sores on my vagina, and inner thighs, but I haven't been sexualy active

I've had these painful sores on my vagina, they are a red and purpleish color. They are also on my inner thighs, but I haven't been sexually active. I don't think you can catch herpies for a hot tub or anything, so I don't think thats what it is. I've been having an odor with the bumps, they itch and I've had a white colored discharge. But, I don't know whats going on. Please help.

Dear Stacy,

Without a blood test and/or a physical examination, it is impossible to tell for sure what's wrong, but it definitely sounds like you have some sort of infection. It's very important that you make an appointent with your doctor as soon as possible before these symptoms get worse.

A few years ago I had the same problem.  The doctor thought I had herpes but I explained that I didn't have sex for 10 years.  He then research and tested me to find out that I had these sores because of cogged pores and trap hair oils.  They eventual went away.  What I did was pour a warm cup of water with a little bit of espom salt on my vagina area while in the shower.   Do not take baths!!!  Definitely go to the doctors to get some type of oinment and sleep with no underwear or underpants. Wash with the espom salt twice a day that helps a lot.
