Q: Is is possible to transmit oral herpes (e.g. Cold Soar) to my partner's genitalia through oral sex?

If I have a cold soar on my mouth (or a canker soar inside my mouth) is it possible to give someone genital herpes through oral sex? For example, lets say I have a cold soar on my mouth, and I performed oral sex on another man/woman. Would my oral herpes transfer to their penis/vagina and become genital herpes?

Yes, it is possible. Cold sores are HSV 1, but it can be transmitted to the genitals. I would not recommend giving oral sex until the cold sore has gone away.
