Thursday, November 19, 2009 24 year old woman asks

Q: I'm in treatment for about 2 months HSV2 and the outbreak is still bothering me.is this normal?

I have been taking acyclovir 400mg for two months, and still strugling with the outbreak. is that normal? or is that i could have something else?...i have no idea what to do.is very anoying.and i have not bumps at all..is just swolen and itchy..i have no idea what's going on...please help!!

do i have to go to the doctor and ask for something stronger or what?

Ok no reason to be suffering. Maybe you should try a different antiviral-like valtrex? How were you diagnosed with this herpes??? Seems like you and your dr need to discuss this. You shouldn't be suffering. Have you tried hydrocortisone where it itches? Are you shaving? If so stop and try to see if that helps. Are you sure this isn't a yeast infection? Try taking aleve as an anti-inflammatory. Also don't wear underwear at all...it's ok to do this. Don't wear constricting clothing. Make sure you shower atleast once a day. keep your vagina dry and clean.

Thanks a lot for your answer...i really apreciate it....I jus visit my doctor this week to tell her my problem, and this time she prescribe me that cream you mention..hope it will work..

 

and also she change my dosage whit the pills too...
