Thanks for your question. I'm not a doctor, so I have no medical authority, but I have herpes and think I can help you a bit.
You could have got herpes from kissing someone or practicing oral sex with someone who has herpes. It is also possible you got it from sharing a drink with someone who has it, although that seems much less likely. Try looking at the Transmission page on this website.
It sounds like you are having a lot of discomfort. I suggest you go to a doctor, or Planned Parenthood if you don't have insurance, who can give you medication that will ease the symptoms.
