Q: gave oral sex to partner and I think they have herpes.

I gave oral sex to a partner, and have heard that he previously had sex with a women that had herpes.They used a condom but, I have a cold sore on the side of my lip, and a sore throat as well as my lips are burning, I also had the itchyness around the lips, as well as my lips are really dry. I'm worried that I may have caught oral herpes from him and I was wondering what I should do? I'm really scared. Could this be herpes or just a cold, cause I do have a runny nose? If it is oral herpes will it ever go away? Like I said they used a condom, but i'm just really scared.

How do you know that they really used a condom? Even IF they did, a condom is NOT 100%. I am living proof. Also, a cold sore IS herpes. From your list of other symptoms, you really need to see a doctor ASAP.
