Q: Herpes??

I just recently found out that I have type 1 herpes in the genital area after engaging in sex 1 1/2 wks prior to the breakout. The person I had sex with tested negative for both types and has tested negative in the past. Now I have never had a break out until now, how is it possible that I have it now but yet this person has tested negative? Wouldnt have made sense that I got i from him? Please help..I'm so confused right now and I dont know what to do. Does the virus show up differently in men?

Same thing happened to me. Chances are you got it from a former parnter... it can hang about with no symptoms for years.
