Hi, I m new to this but I'm doig a lot of research and I thinking that it only can be passed if you are having a out break.

Hey that's not true there is a shedding phase when you show no symptoms at all that's why it could be easily spread w/out you even knowing it "sad"but true! All i can say is if you do have it see your doctor and have him prescribe you an intiviral med...it will reduce the chances of you infecting someone, but im not a doctor so go speak to one! I hope this helped!

Genital herpes is in the genital area. Kissing mouth to mouth will not spread the virus because the virus is not in our bodily fluids. Having unprotected sex, vaginal or oral, can spread the virus. During an outbreak you are less likely to want to have sex,but if you do want to you must use a barrier to prevent the transmission of it. You can have sores on the buttocks area or other areas that are not covered by the typical safe sex barrier, that's another reason why sex should be avoided all together during an outbreak or during the time when you feel an outbreak coming.
