how long does it take for sores to show up after unprotected sex?

I think i have herpes. I am getting tested asap. I recently had unprotected sex with my on again off again boyfriend. I never noticed any sores or anything unusual on his penis so i figured it was safe. I know that he has been with 2 other girls when we were separated. It is aproximatly ten days after our unprotected sex and i have very tiny bumps on my inner lips of my vagina. We have had unprotected sex before but i am wondering if he contracted it while we were apart because I never had any signs before. If i do have herpes do you think i got if from him? I have had one other partner while we were separated but we used a condom and it was over 4months ago , could it be from him?
