Hi insiang,   Thanks for asking your question.  Though I'm not a doctor, I do have herpes and think I can help you.   From what I know, Herpevac is still in its trial phase and has not been officially released as a vaccine.  If you were in the US or Canada, you could get it by participating in a study.  However, since you're in Asia, Herpevac is not available to you.  There is no vaccine yet for herpes, but there may be other studies going on near you in Asia.  I recommend contacting your doctor for information or looking for researchers that need participants in similar studies.  But even then it is not guaranteed to protect you against herpes, you need to protect yourself.     Again, there is no vaccine for herpes as of now.  So you should refrain from having sex with your boyfriend while he is having symptoms, and use condoms and other protection as often as possible.  For more information on how to protect yourself, I recommend you visit the Transmission, Prevention, and Causes and Risk Factors pages.     PJ
