My herpes has been dormant for over 10 years recently I started to have flu like symptoms and then the lip tingle and throat sores, just like my first outbreak 16 years ago.
Why did it come back after all this time? Will it become dormant again if I take Valtrex and lysine daily?
How can I prevent infecting my two small children, do I have to stop nursing my baby.

Based on my experience, it has something to do with our general health. The healthier we keep ourselves, the stronger our immune systems, and the less likely we are to have a herpes episode.
