I have genital HSV 2. I was paranoid that I had spread it to my face. Last week I had what I think could only be a cold sore on my lip. It was very mild however and healed quickly, (1 "blister") and it was NOT on the corner of my lip as I have read cold sores are most likely to be. What is the likelihood that I contracted HSV 1? And more likely I guess, if I really have spread HSV 2, what is the frequency I can expect to get cold sores on my face?

Actually, a person can transmit genital infection HSV2 to the face area. And it can appear not necessarily on a corner of the lips; the infection/blisters can be on ears, eyes, nose and so on. The frequency of the outbreaks depends on the strength of a person's immune system.
