Q: can a yeast infection make a person more contagious with herpes?

My girlfriend has herpes, got it about 2 months ago; had one outbreak, and has been on valtrex ever since at at least double the recommended dose.  What are the chances (% wise) that I could contract this disease?  Also, she had a yeast infection the other day, does that make it more spreadable, or not change anything?  How long, if I were to get it, would it take for symptoms to show up?  Is there anything I can do beyond a rubber, and beyoond my girlfriend taking her valtrex more than recommended that would lessen my chances of getting it.

One night, last week, I made what could be a dangerous mistake, (due to alcohol), and had sex with her without a condom; however, she was not having an outbreak and has not had one since she initially contracted it.

I plan to be extremely careful for now on, but it may already be too late as far as I know.

Whatever advise you can  give me would be greatly appreciated.

I would also be interested in knowing if Lamb skin condoms are not considered safe when it comes to protecting yourself against the virus.

Thanks,

Simon
