Q: December noticed some discomfort in and outside of my vagina, doc did cultures came back positive for yeast. Same things happened in Feb,once again yeast doc said, now a month later again.I'm worried!

Am currently awaiting the results from my current culture, but am pretty sure she will find the same. Although, the infections seem to get worse each time. This time I have discomfort and burning in my urethra most of the time, not when I pee. I don't know,I'm worried and concerned and can't understand why all the sudden this started happening and am having back to back infections.I've never had yeast infection all my life up til now. I was diagnosed with genital herpes 11yrs ago,had one outbreak, never again have had an outbreak, and doc says it's not likely my symptoms have anything to do with it.

You can have the blood test for herpes and it can eliminate herpes as the cause of your discomfort. In fact, it would be a good idea if you and your partner (any new) did so prior to beginning a sexual relationship. However, it takes at least six weeks for the antibodies to show up prior to having herpes. So a partner can be infected and more shedding (more infectuous) at the beginning of the virus.
