Got a single sore, don't know if herpes can be single sores.

I recently had a single sore on the bottom of the shaft of my penis. After looking at all symptoms and various other pictures, they all have multiple sores. Is it possible to have just one sore and still be infected. I got word from a girl a had slept with over 3 months ago saying she thinks se has it and it didn't show up till just a few days ago.

i had a single sore that i thought was an infected hair folicle...nope...it was herpes. so yes i guess!!! sorry!!
