I have just recently gotten herpes and i dont really understand everything but i am doing alot of research. I am going through an outbreak right now and I know that they last about 3 weeks but I would like to know what happens when they go away? How will I know? and will my life be normal until my next outbreak?

I was diagnosed with genital herpes in November but I made it through my first outbreak. The lesions will start to crust over and become less painful. Eventually they will fall off and your skin will look completely normal. I haven't had an outbreak since. My life has been pretty normal. I just have to deal with the knowledge that I have herpes. I'm still dealing with that part of it. I hope this helps.
