I have been in a monogamous relationship for 12 yrs. Recently sores appeared on my vaginal area. I had a culture done and it was negative but they want to do blood test. The valtrex helped after 5 days and I quit taking the meds. Now 2 weeks after inital sores, they have reappeared. Am I having another outbreak or it is a new outbreak. I am taking valtrex again and am afraid to stop taking it once the sores go away.
I read that I have symptoms of syphillis, should I get tested for that, what is the difference in the sores?
