Q: Can a person with HV1 sores in the mouth transmit that to a woman's genitals and it become HV2 ?

Also, I have heard that it is thought that saliva kills the HV2 virus so that mouth to genital transmission (or vice versa) will not happen. Has then been established as fact?

Thank you for the post. Check out this site for the differences between and information about transmission of HSV 1 and HSV 2. If you have concerns, it is best to speak with a doctor.

can hv1 be transmitted during oral sex turn into hv2 on a womans genitals?
