Q: Can one have unprotected sex, with herpes, and not pass it on as long as one is not having outbreak?

The question is: i have had genital herpes over 12 yrs now, i get an outbreak maybe once a yr, even less...i have read that you can pass it on, even if you NOT having an outbreak..is that true?

I had a boyfriend and we had unprotected sex for 2 yrs and he NEVER got it!! Obviously we didnt have sex if i had an outbreak, which was like once in that time...so, is it ok to have unprotected sex, as long as i am not having an outbreak?? I mean what if i want to fall pregnant???

I have a new boyfriend now, and its serious, and i want to be able to be honest and give facts, but also to enjoy unprotected sex...is this possible????
