From what I've read.. anyone who has herpes is supposed to be very careful not to self innoculate ... in other words, to spread it from one site to the other on your own body.  Especially in the eyes.  Anyway, is there any way you can have a doctor look at it?  I don't think you'll go blind... but worrying about it won't help and will only increase your stress and stress increases symptoms!  So take a deep breath, RELAX, turn it over to God if u believe, and then try to get a doctor's appt. - if u don't have the money to see a dr., check with the county clinics... they usually have some sort of program where people who can't afford to pay, can get in free- the drawback is u usu. have to wait a couple months to get in.  Where i live, even to get to the std clinic; to get in, is a big hassle now.  But once u get approved for the county clinic program, u can always go to the ER and won't get charged if there's no dr. to see u at the county clinic (that's after they've approved u for the county health dept. program)... where i live- in south fla. it took me about a month and a half to get in so they could look at my last year's income, and then another couple months to say I was approved.
