I had my first genital herpes outbreak 2 years ago (HSV1). It was just a few bumps which did not itch and were not painful. When my doctor took a culture by piercing the blister, it made several small blisters around it, which then began to slightly itch. I think I may be having it again, but they are not itchy and do not seem watery. I've been having this outbreak for over a month now and am starting to worry that it may be genital warts instead of herpes. I haven't been sexually active in over a year now. All the pictures I look up are so extreme it's hard to tell. Last time I had it, it looked like a few small ingrown hairs. Is it possible for herpes to not be very watery and blister-like? Also, how long can a herpes outbreak last? My first lasted only 3 weeks. I've only had 1 mild outbreak so I'm very unsure of what is 'normal'.

Yeah I think I'm most concerned with the fact that it's lasted so long. They don't really follow what people describe as genital warts either. They're not clustered, or white, or cauliflower looking. I'm definitely going to the doctor to find out whats going on.
Thank you for writing me :)
