The other day, ive noticed a couple of bumps on my penis. Ive had ingrown hair in the past so im not sure this is the case. They do not hurt and they are very small, which i think it canot be herpes. WHat may this problem be?

My inclination is to say that it is unlikely it is herpes since you usually get a painful vesicular rash that last for a couple to several days. That being said my rule of thumb is - if in doubt - have a doctor give you a quic evaluation to put your mind at ease and to rule out anything serious.

I recently read on WebMD that some people may mistake ingrown hairs and a few other rather common things, for herpes. I would say it is worth having the test to know for sure if you have it. Since I just recently found that I have the genital herpes virus, I can say from experience that you should find out for sure for your own peace of mind.
