Q: herpes before sexual activity?

For as long as I can remember (10 years old or younger), I've had infrequent fluid discharges from my penis. it breaks out maybe twice a year tops, i never have more than one small sore and a rash at a time, they don't hurt (though they are very mildly irritating), and they last no more that two or three days. I never gave it much thought until it happened again this morning, possibly because this is the first time it's flared up since I've been sexually active. I did some online research and it looks like a symptom of herpes, but I wasn't sexually active until I was 19. How could I have possibly contracted it before I was 10, and is there a possibility that it's something else?
