HSV1 and HSV2 and oral sex

How long can Herpes go undiagnosed?

My spouse of over 30 years has recently been diagnosed wit herpes. I do not have the virus, and am convinced she has been faithful. She has had no symptoms (that I'm aware of) our entire marriage. Is it possible for the virus to go undiagnosed and present no symptoms for over 30 years?

HSV2 and myself

My wife got hsv2 through being unfaithful while I am in Iraq, however, I am thinking about staying with her in spite of it all.  What should I expect with it and is oral sex or kissing her inner thigh/pube area possible without transmitting to mouth?  I go home in about 2 weeks.
