why cant they find a cure

im just curious as to why they can genetically inactivate hsv2 so they can make a vaccine to use on animals for testing. why cant they use the same process for making said vaccine and inactivate hsv2 in people... just curious?

can you get oral/genital hsv1 if you already have the other?

There are two types of HSV, HSV type 1 and 2, and both can cause genital herpes.
