why cant they find a cure

im just curious as to why they can genetically inactivate hsv2 so they can make a vaccine to use on animals for testing. why cant they use the same process for making said vaccine and inactivate hsv2 in people... just curious?

Genital Herpes and Transmission via Kissing?

Can I get genital herpes by kissing someone that gets cold sores that are caused by HSV 2? In other words, they got the cold sores by giving oral sex to someone with genital herpes?
