I am so worried

I had symptoms of genital herpes and am now waiting on the results. I am in a very long term relationship and am wondering what is the oral to genital (or vice versa) ratio of contracting or giving the disease. Like, if I have a genital outbreak can I pass the disease by giving him oral sex? Please help I'm so clueless.
