Experts: Teens' sex education should include alcohol counseling

A recent survey on the sexual attitudes of boys and girls has led British researchers to recommend that healthcare providers include information about alcohol in their discussions about sexual health with teens. Among the survey's results was that boys did not find it inappropriate to get a girl intoxicated so that she would be more likely to engage in sex. The investigators say these and other findings suggest that alcohol counseling must be part of sex education so that young people realize how vulnerable they are to poor sexual health if they mix alcohol with sex.
