Sexual problems affect almost half of U.S. women

Massachusetts General Hospital researchers have found that 43 percent of women suffer from such sexual dysfunction (SD) issues as painful intercourse, loss of desire, decreased sexual arousal, or lack of orgasm. But surprisingly, only 12 percent of these women say they are distressed about these SD-related problems. The study also found that women over age 65 had the most SD problems but had the lowest levels of distress about them. Investigators also found that women with depression were more than twice as likely to report distress over any type of SD compared to those not suffering from depression.  Read full story >
