Women's testosterone patch may not work: study

New research published in the journal Drugs and Therapeutics Bulletin suggests that a new testosterone patch designed to treat sexual dysfunction in women may be ineffective, and questions remain about its long-term safety as well. intrinsa was recently approved in Great Britain for women who have gone through menopause because of removal of their ovaries or uterus. But a new study has found that trial data on the drug may be flawed, and researchers say the studies were not long enough to show the drug's safety after extended use.  Read full story >
