"Sexting" can have serious consequences

According to a national survey, more than 20 percent of teens have sent or posted nude or seminude photos of themselves in what has become known as "sexting." People may use cell phones, email, or Web sites to send or post these pictures. But some teens are finding out the hard way that making these photos public can have legal consequences. In one case, a 19-year-old was charged under child pornography laws after sending nude photos of his then-underage girlfriend to 70 people--including her parents and grandparents--after their breakup.
