The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recalled the male sexual supplement Libimax over concerns about one of its ingredients. FDA officials say the supplement contains tadalafil, which can interact with nitrates found in prescription drugs taken by people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease. When tadalafil interacts with nitrates, it can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure, FDA officials say. This ingredient and its interactions are not listed on the Libimax label. The health agency is urging consumers who've bought Libimax to stop using it and contact their doctor if they've experienced any problems they believe may be related to taking the supplement.
