Survey: Majority of women have sexual health issues

According to a new survey, 70 percent of women have suffered some sort of sexual health issue, and about one-fourth of them say they are "very concerned" about it. The survey by the National Women's Health Resource Center and the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals defined a sexual issue as such symptoms as a lack of desire for sex, problems with arousal, excessive desire for sex, and pain during intercourse. Women who reported these issues said the problems affected their romantic relationships, mental health, and self-esteem. Researchers say their findings suggests that it is important for women to have accurate and appropriate information and treatments for their sexual health issues.
