Scientist given grant to develop herpes vaccine

A researcher at Southern Illinois University has received a $400,000 grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease to develop a vaccine for genital herpes. Dr. William Halford says his goal is to create a vaccine that can be given to children so that they will not contract the virus later in life. Read full story >
