Insurance Company Targeted HIV Patient for Dropped Coverage

Before he entered college, 17-year-old Jerome Mitchell purchased a health insurance policy with insurer Fortis in anticipation of his first year of college. During his freshman year, he found out he had contracted HIV. But rather than helping to pay for Mitchell's medical treatments, the insurer dropped his coverage.
