Obese Have Worse Sexual Health, Despite Fewer Partners
(Reuters) UPDATED 2010-06-21
Women who are obese have four times as many unplanned pregnancies as normal-weight women, and obese men are more likely to have sexual disease--both in spite of having less sex in general, researchers have found. British and French researchers say the impact of being overweight also affects a man's likelihood of having erectile dysfunction, and the odds that a woman will talk to her doctor about contraceptives. Experts say low self esteem and concerns about body image may be responsible for the findings.
