Erectile Dysfunction Drugs Linked to Higher STD Rates

According to a new study, middle-aged and older men who take erectile dysfunction drugs such as Viagra are more likely to have sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Researchers say their finding suggests that doctors should counsel men who are prescribed these medications about safe sex practices, since the fault of the higher STD rates lies not with the drugs but with the high risk behaviors of the drugs' users.
