As the field of candidates for their party's nominations for president thins, a couple of things become apparent on our HealthCentral Healthcare08 PoliGraph.
1. It's easier to see real distinctions between the candidates. With John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich gone, for instance, it's easy to focus on the differences between Democrats Clinton and Obama. Ditto Romney and McCain, with Giuliani and Thompson out of the GOP race.
2. A couple of the marginal players are hanging tough. Democrat Mike Gravel remains on the ballot in 20 states (his staff told our reporter), and Republican Ron Paul is sustained by his continued support from the netheads.
3. You can see even better where your positions fall compared to the candidates. After taking our quizzes previously you may have found yourself in a cluster of candidates. Now you can see which of the few remainders your views correspond with.
4. Notice that as the candidate field thins, more HealthCentral experts are weighing in (they're shown by green pins on our PoliGraph). These are expert patients, advocates and medical practitioners with well informed and often condition-specific views on healthcare issues. For instance, see how "GERD mom" Jan Gambino feels about the importance of controlling drug prices for her daughter's care. You can follow any expert's comments on the PoliGraph to his or her blog--and you can leave a comment of your own.
