I'm loathe to wish ill of anyone, but frankly they both can drop dead for all I care, for all their plans to take us further toward one-world government & subservience to the whims of the U.N.
While I'm at it, I must say this site seems to be little more than a mouthpiece for Big Pharma.
As a person who has treated his own Crohn's disease essentially WITHOUT doctors for the last 25 years, the medical establishment regarding Crohn's has earned my disdain, because they won't listen & apparently won't do research without without Big Pharma slanting it in their own favor.
Diet modification DOES help to a degree, stress reduction IS important, exercise IS significant, and there are ways to live with this disease WITHOUT risking liver & kidney damage. At least the medical establishment has finally admitted that vitamins are a good idea. Now they need to wake up & do proper study on more natural treatments.

- Diagnosed January 1985 after 4 months of hell, followed by 12 days of taking nothing by mouth, 17 days in hospital overall.
- Saved by Prednisone & Azulfidine
- Abandoned Azulfidine "maintenance" after 5 years of being on & off Prednisone & feeling like Azulfidine was keeping me in a "holding pattern" limiting my recovery.
- No surgeries except fistula in Sept. or Oct. of 1984
- No significant "wasting" normally associated with Crohn's
- Re-confirmed diagnosis with colonoscopies in 2002 and 2005
- tried Pentasa or Asacol in 2002, until I found out I would have to have blood tests every month to monitor for liver & kidney damage. Tried this because MY preferred "maintenance" protocol is illegal in my state. The fact that it works seems to be irrelevant, thus my disdain for the "establishment" that would prefer to risk my liver & kidneys.
- currently "maintaining" using loperamide-HCL & acetominophen, as little as possible, just so I can pass a goddamn stupid drug test to get a better job.
Options & researchers for Crohn's SUCK in my humble opinion, & should get their head out of their collective ass & follow CA's lead. The stupid War on Drugs is MEDICAL TYRANNY, & my government can just friggin' go to hell on this issue.
Want a chance to turn this country around & back to individual liberties, as the Founding Fathers intended? EDUCATE yourselves & break the two-party paradigm; it's nearly too late. Vote BARR or BALDWIN - Libertarian or Constitution party in '08. Hopeless causes are only as hopeless as we the people are. Remember...
