    threats to health from high blood pressure remain uncorrected even when blood pressure is fully controlled by medication (when conventional blood pressure targets are reached).

    I'm taking an ACE inhibitor and a beta-blocker to manage high blood pressure and my recovery from a heart attack. I had always thought that by bringing the blood pressure down through medication I was reducing my risk. Are you suggesting that it's better to come off medication and bring the pressure down some other way? I'm not quite sure what "manage" means in the context of this article.
