BOTH OF THE PRESIDENTIAL CANAIDATES ARE "TOUTING" TAX CREDITS FOR NOT ONLY HEALTH CARE BUT MANY OTHER ITEMS AS WELL. WHAT THEY ARE NOT SAYING IS, ARE THE TAX CREDITS A NON-RFUNDABLE CREDIT, MEANING A CREDIT THAT IS FIGURED BEFORE THE FINAL TAX ON INCOME, ARE THEY A REFUNDABLE CREDIT SUCH AS EARNED INCOME CREDIT? WHAT ARE THE "PHASE OUTS" OF INCOME FOR THE CREDITS FOR EACH OF THE "TYPES" OF TAXPAYERS, SUCH AS MARRIED FILING JOINTLY, MARRIED FILING SEPERATLY WHERE A GOOD AMOUNT OF CREDITS ARE NOT ALLOWED, SINGLE, AND HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD. IT IS WONDEFUL TO SAY THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE TAX CREDITS, BUT THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THOSE CREDITS MUST COME FROM SOMEWHERE. I AM NOT FOR OR AGAINST THE CREDITS THAT BOTH ARE TALKING ABOUT, BUT AS A TAX PROFESSIONAL I CAN TELL YOU THAT THERE IS A WHOLE LOT MORE TO IT THAN WE ARE BEING TOLD.
