Excellent article. I live in India, where vegetarians have heart disease with low cholesterol but high triglycerides ! I now understand where these are coming from ! Wheat and snacks , particularly the former since eating it is thought to improve fibre and its glycemic index is lower than say rice . However how does the doctor arrive at 60 mg/dl ? is it based on trials or just conjecture ?
