While the world frets over the possibility of a swine flu pandemic, is there anything you can do to further protect yourself?
Yes: Take vitamin D.
I say this from experience. Since I began having patients supplement vitamin D to achieve normal blood levels (we aim for 60-70 ng/ml), ...
In your experience with Vit D do you find Vit D affects Alkaline Phosphatase values in any way? Does it lower the value? If so, is there any concern for a lowered value? I take 4000 IU of Vit D 3 per day for almost a year. My recent bloodwork showed a slight decrease (5 points) of Alkaline Phosphatase.
Thank you,
Marie
