Hi, my name is Pat and like Laura I also was a slender mother of 4 children. My LPa was the highest ever recorded at MGH in Boston being 189.  I had a MI at age 36, a bypass at 37, 2more MI's at 54, and another bypass and I think I'm headed for another MI or bypass (whichever comes first). I'm now 69 yrs old and so surprised to still be here.  My brother died of heart attack at age 30 and my mother was 56.  It was years before I found out that I had LPa.  My cholesterol was low at 154 so after 20 years of living w/heart disease my wonderful Cardiologist found LPa.
