Hard Hearted Hannah's Homeopathic Hunch

Well, my name's not Hannah, but I do have a "hard heart" - or heart disease, according to the doctors. After a recent Cardio catheterization procedure, the cardiologist told me I had 25 to 30% blockage in one coronary artery and 100% blockage in another. Then he said my heart had created its own "by pass" artery, which was clear and fully functional (that was the good news). He recommended against by-pass surgery in light of the natural by pass construction; and after noting that I had expressed grave reservations about having a stent inserted, he said we can treat your condition with medication "for now." What comes later was left unsaid. He then referred me to the hospital cardiology unit's "Cardio Clinic."

Meanwhile I have been treating myself with 6,000 grams of Vitamin C, 2000 grams of Vitamin E, plus some other supplements and vitamins daily. This protocol does not result in a headache, like the one the prescription medicine given me by the cardiologist does. His medicine dilates the arteries for easing the flow of blood. Vitamin C does the same, and also lowers cholesterol and blood pressure as well.

I would be very interested in corresponding with anyone online who has experienced this condition and has found alternative treatments to be efficacious or otherwise.

Thanks for the joining our community and submitting a SharePost!

This is a great topic and one that a lot of our community members have written about in the past.

I'd like to direct you to our newest site expert, Dr. Davis, who will be blogging about new treatments for coronary heart disease. While he obviously can't make diagnoses or give specific advice, he does talk about preventative treatments.

We also have a new dietitian blogger who will be writing about heart healthy diets and lifestyle changes.

I can also recommend our FoodFit.com website, which has many great heart healthy recipes and cooking tips.

Please keep us updated on your progress and thanks again for posting!

Best,

Katherine
