hi after 20 yrs I find out why I had a stroke at 33 yrs of age. FMD never heard of this disease. Did research on the disease and not much is known. Was on asprin all those yrs, and began to have symtoms similar to TIA . This is when they found FMD. and put me on Plavix. There are many things that will thin your blood, such as supplements so much caution is needed when just trying to stay healthy.

This is very interesting to me. My father had several strokes, beginning in his late 40's and eventually died from pulmonary thrombosis. He ate healthy and exercised regularly. I too have led a very healthy life but I had a heart attack 4 months ago, I had 3 stents put in and am on many medications one of wich is plavix. I feel like my life is in ruins from all this. My sister went for her regular check up and mentioned what had happened to me to her doctor. She said her doctor (who knows about our father's history) became practially hysterical and is having her visit a Hematologist. My cardiologists are saying my heart attack has nothing in common with my Father's strokes. I am pretty puzzled by all this and wonder if I too should visit a hematologist.
I to suffer from a blood clotting factor and have had dvt's and pe's, and Im on coumidan for life. It has basically ruin my life, so I did ALOT of research my self, The blood bank had sent me a card after a surgery I had stating I had a ANTI-S antigen in my blood.and for the second time developed dvt again,,,after MY reasearch of ANTI-S, I belive I found the problem, When I was pregant A doctor Im assuming forgot to give me my second dose of Rhogam, any pregant women with an RH factor Negitive A- B- O- etc is to recieve 2 dose of rhogham..I miss carried 6 times, Had DVT Pe's and Im thinners for life, and also have a filter in my inferior vena cava..Pretty sad. I scared me for life a mistake from a doctor for never having more childern, cant work because of the dvt's and pe's etc..Vaery sad situation for me. that was 21 years ago.
