Well here I am, writing about the experience of by pass surgery, no I didn't have it my husband did. But let me tell you I have gone through the by pass machine too. With out a doubt this has been the most intense experience I have gone through.
When Jordan (my husband) was told he needed the surgery, I was in shock, we had just the week before been running around DisneyWorld with our grandchildren and having a ball. Jordan was a little more tire than usual but we didn't think anything about it.
He went through the surgery very well, and in the hospital was ok too as he recovered. But I wasn't prepared for taking him home. No one except one nurse told me what to expect.
There are so many things I have to face and have faced. The emotional trip is hard, my husband is on an emotional rollercoster. I find myself being his psyco-anaylst. Any way I have found that talking to other women about this experience has been so very helpful. Please keep talking, talking and then more talking.
